The Wedding Quilt

The Wedding Quilt was made for my son, Cary and his wife, Stephanie.  Married in August, so I'm just a wee bit late! Appraisal listed at $3000.00, Wow! (The value of quilts always amazes me, although it really shouldn't considering I know the time and work that goes into them!)  So enjoy the pictures, as always I post way too many! :)

Original design, appliqued on the longarm.  Cotton and Silk.  Hobbs 80/20 batting.  Hand guided free motion quilted.  Superior threads, Magnifico, Art Studio and So Fine50.

Design inspired by their lives as the intertwined rings represent Cary and Stephanie positioned as the sun in the sky shining over the flowers representing their 3 children.

  5. What a beautiful quilt and story. I love it when a quilt has meaning behind it (you know I do). Love the quilting and I saw a small peek of the names and dates. Great job, I'm sure they will love it for a long time.
