DeForest Quilt Guild Fabric Challenge 2013

Here's a picture of the Deforest Quilt Guild fabric challenge projects.  I loved all the creative ways each of them chose to use the fabric.

And here's a few more close up's of mine to see some of the quilting.... A Flower for Plain Jane
You can read more about this quilt in the post from August 11, 2013.  Last April I purchased Lisa Calle's Divide and Design DVD and her quilter's groove ruler 16.  I used her designs from her "Not So Plain Jane" to complete this quilt.  In the center I made a fabric flower which I learned from "The Nifty Stitcher" at rhianontaylor.blogspot.com

I tried playing around with the aperture on my camera to show light/shadows but there's nothing like the morning sun...

Playing around with Doodles

This past week I've been pretty sick with a nasty cold. Thankfully I'm feeling better today. I wasn't able to accomplish much these past few days, but I did manage to draw some pretty cool doodles. I even played around on my long arm a little bit and tried to duplicate one. Anyway, I hope everyone in your household is well and have a great weekend!
